To Mary Ann's Family:

Mary Ann and I were classmates from junior high up through high school and I have many wonderful memories during our school years. I also had occasion to bump into her several times over the years since high school and more recently we were able to keep in touch through Facebook. A couple of weeks ago I participated in the Teal Ribbon Ovarian Cancer Awareness benefit in Washington Park and ran the 5k in memory of my sister Diane who lost her battle 4 months ago but also ran in support of Mary Ann. Next year I will run in both of their memories - heaven gained 2 beautiful angels way too soon.

My thoughts, prayers and condolences to all of you during this difficult time.

Rest in Peace my friend. Our carpooling trips to JCA as freshmans made that new chapter in our lives a bit more fun and memorable. Thank you for those memories. I'm so sorry that you were faced with this horrific disease. I pray for strength for your family through this very difficult time.
