MARY ANN GAUGER

Mary Ann Gauger, age 84, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2011, after a short illness. Mary Ann was born in Scranton, PA, the daughter of the late Henry C. McGuigan, Sr. and Barbara R. Winters McGuigan. She had been a lifelong area resident of Schenectady and was a communicant of St. Paul the Apostle Church. She was a member of the St. Paul's Seniors and was an avid NASCAR fan. Mary Ann was the head tape librarian for the NY State Office of Equalization and Assessment for over 20 years before retiring. She enjoyed traveling and working alongside her son as part owner of MAG Towing in Schenectady. Beloved mother of Mark A. Gauger of Schenectady, and Lauren Ann Haynes and her husband, Patrick of Concord, NC; sister of the late Henry C. McGuigan, Jr; and loving grandmother of Jason Haynes. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held in the Griswold Funeral Home, 1867 State St. Schenectady, Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at 8:15 and 9 a.m. in St. Paul the Apostle Church, Albany St., Schenectady.
