Ruthie, ma belle, you gave me a candle holder in the shape of a star to keep a flame for my mom. I'm burning a candle for you. You will be missed.

Ruth and I were friends as teenagers and spent time at each other's houses and at our lake cottage. I "googled" her a few years back and felt so proud to read of her many accomplishments. She was a lovely friend, a beautiful girl and a talented woman. She was also too young to be taken from this world. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I remember Ruth as a spirited teenager, full of intelligence, humour, insight -- and mischief! I knew her much less as an adult, but always admired her creativity and her desire to do and be something original. My family (Barb, Thomas, Chris) and I are so saddened by her passing and offer our deep condolences to the family, especially our dear, dear friends, Joan, Neil, Hillary and Brett.

Auntie Ruth, you will be deeply missed. You were one of the only people who could make me laugh on command. Your quirky sense of style and humour will always be special to me. I know wherever you are you are definitely still entertaining the room.
