Sandi Giello Obituary

Sandi Waterson Giello Schenectady - Sandi Waterson Giello, 74, passed away peacefully on Tuesday November 21, 2023. She was born on February 14, 1949 in Cleveland, OH to the late Wilbur and MaryAnn Mortenson Waterson. She was raised in Schenectady, and after graduating Linton High School, she was a telephone operator, and then became a waitress, working at the Charlton House for many years. She was a member of the Providence Fire Dept in Galway. Sandi enjoyed gardening, puzzles, crossword puzzles, crafts, reading, and in her younger years, bowling in bowling leagues. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Dennis Cochran.
Sandi is survived by husband, Robert Giello; her children, Danielle and Kayla Kingsland and Robert Giello; 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, brothers William and James Waterson; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday November 28, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, Rotterdam. She will then be privately cremated. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Animal Protection or to Hospice. Condolences can be posted at demarcostonefuneralhome.com.
