Walter was a teacher and friend. He gave me sanctuary when I needed a place to finish school work, brought me to basketball games when I was grounded, put me to work in the print shop the summer of 78, and successfully guided me through driver education. Rosemary and Walter were friends to my family, always. Walter will be remembered and his spirit will remain forever.

Walt Pryne was my Industrial Arts teacher at Scotia from 1976 to 1978, He was by far one of my favorite teachers of all time. I spent many hours in his classes and actual worked for him in the summer of 1977 printing papers for the school system. You were the Best!
May you rest in peace, Heaven is all set now, the have the best teacher there!

I can't begin to tell you what an influence Walter Pryne has had on my life and career. As a high school student he played a major role in my decision to become an Industrial Arts teacher. He even arranged an interview at our high school with the recruiter from Oswego and provided me with a glowing college reference. I was accepted and attended Oswego for my undergraduate education. I began my career as an IA teacher and eventually moved on to other positions within the education arena. I am retired now, but all through the years I often thought about Walter, how he kick-started my career, and how he was doing. On one hand I am sad to hear of his passing; however, on the other hand I am glad to see that he remained active and engaged, and had a long life with his loved ones.
