Wayne R. Dyer

Wayne R. Dyer, 82, of Melbourne Beach, FL, and former Clifton Park area resident, died on Tuesday January 27, 2009 at his residence. He was born in Schenectady on August 30, 1926 and was the son of the late Willard J. and Marion Sylvester Dyer. Mr. Dyer retired as a real estate broker. He had been a member of the Jonesville United Methodist Church. Wayne was the beloved husband of Hazel Hatlee Dyer, whom he married January 12, 1945 and they enjoyed 64 years of marriage together. He was the devoted father of Michael (Lydia) Dyer of Jacksonville, FL and Debra Dyer of Fayetteville, NC; cherished grandfather of Michele (Ron) Lehman and Scott Dyer; great-grandfather of Trevor, Tanner, Tate, Trent and Maxwell; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 in Clifton Park. Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Spring interment will be in Jonesville Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Route 9, Clifton Park, NY 12065.
