ANDREW RASMUSSEN Obituary

Andrew James Rasmussen Andrew J. Rasmussen, 16, was born Feb. 10, 1995, in Warrenville, and passed away Monday, May 2, 2011. His soul is at peace in heaven now with the Lord. Andrew was the oldest son of Suzanne and James Rasmussen of Warrenville. Andrew was the older brother of Kyle, 14, and Shawn, 10, who will forever miss their big brother. Andrew was the loving nephew of Gene (Cheryl) Egert, Stephen (Alexis) Egert, Mitchell (Sheila) Belon, Michael (Julie) Hunnewinkel and Shawn (Karen) Egert; cherished cousin to Ashley, Justine, James Egert, Nathan, Gabriel and Jacob Egert, Stephanie, Claire and Marc Belon, Mariana and Nicholas Hunnewinkel, and Zachery and Ryan Egert. Andrew is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Jane Egert and paternal grandmother, Janis Rasmussen. Andrew was a good friend to many. Andrew was a sophomore at Wheaton-Warrenville South High School. He was a funny mischievous, extremely athletic and kind soul. He was a member of the football, wrestling and baseball teams. He also enjoyed fishing and dirt biking, which he did frequently with his brothers and cousins. Andrew will be remembered for many things, but certainly for his huge smile and great personality. He will forever be in our hearts and thoughts. Visitation will be Thursday, 3 to 8 p.m. at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Road, Wheaton, IL 60187. Visitation will begin Friday at the funeral home at 11 a.m. until the time of prayers at 11:45 a.m., proceeding to St. Irene Church, 28W441 Warrenville Road, Warrenville, Ill., for Mass at 12:30 p.m. A memorial fund has been established to benefit the family. Contributions may be directed to the "Andrew Rasmussen Memorial Fund" at MB Financial Bank, 28W571 Batavia Road, Warrenville, IL 60555.
