Unfortunately, I just saw this obituary on the internet. Ann Henneberry was my son's, AJ Robb, third grade teacher at Westbrook school in Mt. Prospect. She was, without a doubt, one of the best teachers I have ever known and she made a great impact on my son's education. Ann Henneberry was born to be a teacher. Such a kind, graceful and inspirational woman who touched so many lives.

I grew up across the street from Ann and Paul on Maple street in the 50's and early 60's. I'm very sorry for Paul's loss. I have a lot of found memories of her and the family. She was extremely sweet child and enjoyed playing together.

Miss Henneberry was my 3rd grade teacher in 1985-86, and she really inspired me to be the active and engaged student I was for the remainder of my education. She always makes my list of "favorite teachers." I am so sad to hear of her passing; what a loss to the community!

How sad I am to learn of Ann's passing! I was in her kindergarten class at Lion's Park in 1972...my future wife was in her kindergarten class at Sunset that same year! We both remember her fondly. She was a lovely and kind person who touched the lives of many. All my best wishes to her family and friends.

Miss Henneberry taught me to read! Just today I have read emails, and a newspaper, a creole shrimp recipe, facebook posts, Mother Goose rhymes, and who knows what else I read without even noticing. What a gift.
I remember her smile, her voice, her classroom. We used to try to get a peek at her slip when she was bending over to help children at the next table. Even so, I remember always being treated with kindness.
I am so sad to learn that she is gone. I will miss her and remember her well.

To the whole Henneberry family,
Ann and I began our teaching career in MPPS #57 at the same time. We became friends and confidents. I so loved spending time with her! She was one of the sweetest people I have ever met. I hold a special place in my heart for Ann. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. She will never be forgotten. May God be with you all.

I had Miss Henneberry as a Kindergarden and first grade teacher in 1972-1973 at Sunset school. She was my first crush. At the time she was 22-23 years old, very pretty with long blond hair and bellbottoms, probably just starting out in her teaching career. She made such an impact on me I would go back and visit her as I moved on to subsequent grades. I saw the obit by chance in the paper and was floored. I think this woman had a large impact on many peoples lives during the following 30+ years. A person that makes a difference like this will be greatly missed.

Dear Paul and Karen and Family,
I will miss Ann. The folks at 1777 Crystal Lane on our floor we would hold floor meetings by the washer and dryers. Discuss the current events to family woes. We all had our laughs and misery's. We would share stories over dead beat guys we were involved with. The bad boys always seemed more fun and more trouble. I will always rememeber her courage and never heard why me. I never saw her on a pity train always strong. I am honored to have her for a friend and neighbor. I am glad I could help her and you.

I am so very sad to hear of Mrs. Henneberry's passing. She was one of my most beloved teachers (3rd grade at Westbrook Elementary, '90-'91 ) I have thought of her many times over the years wondering how I could get in touch with her to tell her how much she positively affected my life. She was one of the few teachers I would always call my favorite. I cannot say enough good things about her, and I regret not trying harder to find her to tell her how much she meant to me. I am very sorry for her friends and family that they will not have any more time here with her, but I know she has touched so many lives and her memory will live on in all of us.

Anne and I first met when she and I taught Kindergarten and 1st grade at Sunset Park Elementary School in the early 1970's. We became friends and then roommates in our 20's.
