We were so lucky to have had Father Dillon at Queen of Apostles for ten wonderful years, as Associate Pastor.During those years he made many life long friends.Even after leaving, he came back to officiate at many functions, including the marriages of our three daughters. Playing golf with "Artie" (as we discreetly called him)was a joy. He was easy to beat...emitted no curse words and he kept an honest count of his strokes. Father Dillon, we love you and will always miss you. An Irish wish on this St. Patrick's day..."May God hold you in the palm of his hand".

Father Dillon is recalled with respect from his days with us at St. Bride's on the southeast side of Chicago. I'll remember him in the Eucharist as a man who offered faithful witness to the Gospel.

Our deepest sympathy to Fr. Art's fa mily.He was a kind and wonderful priest who was always available whenever you needed him. With a soft shy manner he always acknowleged all those with whom he came in contact. He indeed was God's priest. May he enjoy hitting it straight and long in God's kingdom.

Our deepest condolences to the family of Father Art. He was a gentle and kind man of God and loved that game of golf!
We miss exchanging postcards of vacation destinations and will remember his delight in staying at our home in Hilton Head and golfing with his priest buddies. May he be eternally happy on that heavenly farway. God bless him.

To the family of Fr.Arthur Dillon,
It was Fr. Dillon who first invited me to play the organ at St. Anne Church,(1973), which I still do today on a part-time basis.
Fr. Dillon was a kindly, faithful priest with a special love for the children of our parish. His quiet, stable leadership helped guide the development of our parish campus.
Requiescant in pace. Amen.

Centered on Jesus.....Art always modeled and lived his priestly spirituality - a man steadfast of heart, he clearly decided, chose, to praise the God who had chosen him. I will never forget the love Art had for my family and his unshakeable belief in the power of good people gathered, acting together, to create new, just structures in our church and our world. For this, we sing a farewell word of love and thanks.

Dear Fr. Dillion,
We rejoiced in your travelling up to meet the Lord. It was a pleasure knowing you, you were a great person and a priest, always saying "hello". Our prayers are with you. Good luck and take care.

I am so grateful that I crossed pathes with Fr. Dillon...as a "personal chef," I provided meals for him for a brief period of time...he was a lovely man, a true "servant leader" and without ego, as most of us recognize it today. Always glad to see you..he exuded kindness, shy humor, and a humble verve for life, which encompassed all of us, regardless of our denomination. I am sure God blesses him...
