Tom, it was an honor to have called Sir Arthur a good friend. When Matt and I visited Art in Cali., it was such a great memory. He loved watching ND games and maybe even a Bears game !!!! The track has never been the same since A&G moved. He is up in Heaven with Grace and a cigar right now. Chris & Matt Hayes

Art was a really good guy, loved sports, especially Chicago sports, and did a great job with his partner and wife Grace raising a warm family. God Bless him!

Tom your dad was great even though a Cub fan. I remember watching the Bears/Giants game 1977 in your basement. Art was in the lounger with Heide, a bag of pretzels, and root beer.

Tom, Your parents were so warm and hospitable to me when I visited them years ago. I know the last few years have been rough for your Dad and you; sadly, that is the way it often is as parents age. My heartfelt sympathies go out to you, Susan, your niece, and your nephew. Your Dad is in good hands now and back with your Mom. They are watching the Cubs win a few and lose a lot - and knowing that none of this really matters.

Art was a great man. Always had time for Tom's friends and never held back advising to us on how to keep out of trouble. I have never forgotten advise Art gave me as we were headed to Arlington Park race track - Art put his hand on my shoulder and said "Do not place a bet you cannot afford to loose" - After a brief moment to let that sink in Art then said " And that is not limited to horse racing" Many fond memories of Art & Grace Wall. I am confident they are both together again in the house of God and are happy to be reunited with Mark. Another member of the Greatest Generation has left us and he will be missed.
Tom - Great job taking care of Art and helping him to the next world.
