BENJAMIN GERLACH Obituary

ST. CHARLES - Benjamin Robert Gerlach, almost 4 years old, of St. Charles, IL, passed away May 2, 2016 at Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago. He was the beloved son of Robert and Elizabeth Gerlach and brother of triplet siblings Colin James and Ava Glenn. He is also survived by his grandmothers, Lora Harrison (Dan) of Eagar, AZ and Patricia Sparks of Portsmouth, VA as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Benjamin faced many health-related challenges in his short life, but he was a beautiful happy boy who brought joy to all who knew him. The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to his teachers at Norton Creek Elementary and therapists at Easter Seals and Marianjoy who worked so diligently with Ben and to all the doctors and nurses who cared for him. A funeral service will be held Friday, May 6, 2016 at 2pm at First Baptist Church of Geneva, 2300 South Street, Geneva, IL 60134. The family will receive visitors at the church beginning at 1pm. Service will conclude graveside at Union Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Easter Seals, www.EasterSealsDFVR.org.
