Betty Schimian Obituary

Betty J. Schimian of Gurnee Visitation for Betty J. Schimian (nee Kufahl), 79, will be from 1 p.m. until the time of memorial service, at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 19, at the Kristan Funeral Home, P.C., 219 West Maple Ave. (two blocks west of Route 45, on Route 176), Mundelein. Born May 30, 1925, in Milwaukee, she died Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at Sunrise Assisted Living of Gurnee. Betty is survived by her son, Ronald (Barbara Nelson) Schimian of Winnetka; grandchildren, Brian (Lana) Schimian and Heather (Jeff) Kline; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Andrew and Makenna; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Shriners Hospital for Children, 2211 N. Oak Park Ave., Chicago, IL 60707, are appreciated. Sorry to hear about Betty. I lost touch with her after Fred and I divorced. Is Harold in good health? Fred Schimian, Roland's son and Harold's nephew.

Betty, I will miss you very much. Amanda will miss the times she visited with you and Harold during summer breaks. I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to see you...I was very selfish....but I know you are with Harold now, which is where you wanted to be. As much as you complained about him....he loved you and you loved him....I will truly miss you.....see you when I get there....say hi to mom for me xxoo
