Brian Dunleavy Obituary

Brian Joseph Dunleavy

Brian Joseph Dunleavy, age 67, of Knoxville, TN, passed away Thursday October 17, 2024, at Parkwest Medical Center. He was born on December 18, 1956, in Chicago, IL. Brian graduated from Elk Grove High School in 1975, and had a successful career in sales, which facilitated a move to Baton Rouge, LA, in 1984 and Knoxville, TN in 1991. After an amazing career and multiple salesman of the year awards, he retired from Alamo Industrial in 2020.

Brian is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Patricia (Curtin) Dunleavy. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Nancy (Bergland) Dunleavy; children, Tracy Wingo, Kristyn (Heather) Roberts and Blake (Katy) Dunleavy; grandchildren, Ryleigh, Landon and their father Chris Wingo, Mackenzy, Maddox and their father Jay Navarro, Keely, Skyler and Kamryn; sister, Nancy (Tom) Lawrence of Warsaw, IN; brother, Keith Dunleavy of Wauconda, Il, and his 6 month old golden retriever, Wrigley.

Brian was a dedicated family man who loved boating on the lake and vacationing at the beach. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles and snowmobiling in Michigan. Brian was a selfless man who was always willing to help others. After he passed, Tennessee Donor Services was able to use skin and bone from Brian to help cancer patients and burn victims. Brian was the greatest husband, father, Pop Pop, brother and friend we could have asked for and he will be sorely missed. We take comfort in knowing he is reunited with his parents and that he is throwing a tennis ball with Bailey, Phoebe and Jasper in Heaven. Brian will be cremated, his cremains scattered along the intercoastal waterway when the family takes a trip in his honor later. Arrangements by Cremation Options, Inc.
