Carlos was like another big brother to me, always around the house when we were all young and with us through happy and sad times all through the years. He will be truely missed.

Dearest Uncle,

You were my idol and one of my favorite uncles. I loved the way you made me feel as a nephew. My family will miss you, but we will never forget who you were.

In my eyes you were a true hero to all the hard labors in this world.

Being a niece of Carlos I know for a fact that he will be greatly missed at all the family functions. I must say he was always the loudest and craziest. He was the life of the party, you never knew what the next thing was that was coming from his mouth, but you did know it was geniune. We will all miss him deeply, but I know I have plenty of fond memories that will stay with me a lifetime.

As a friend of Alyce's I would call the house often when she was living with Carlos and Chris. After a while Carlos started to recognize my voice and we would make small talk when I called. Several months later I was asked to fill-in at a bowling league made up of friends and family. We had a great time. The drinks and bowling balls were flowing. When I was introduced to Carlos he looked me strait in the eye, shook my hand and said, "You sound so mature on the phone, but now that I have met you there really is nothing mature about you.........." I loved him immediately and made sure that at every family event I attended after that, I talked to Carlos because it was never phony pleasantries but a raw insight to an opinion that you could respect.

As far as I am concered the world could use a lot more Carlos's in it! We have suffered a great loss. He will certainly be missed.
