CHRISTOPHER SHEAHAN Obituary

Christopher J. Sheahan of Cary The visitation for Christopher J. Sheahan, 44, will be from 12 noon until the time of the services at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, at the Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, 403 Silver Lake Road, Cary. Burial will be in Windridge Memorial Park. Born July 16, 1965, in Chicago, the son of James and Eleanor (nee Gleason) Sheahan, he died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009, at Good Shepherd Hospital, Barrington. Chris was loved by all. His sense of humor and vivacious personality made everyone want to be around him. An avid sportsman, he could often be found hanging out with friends and family watching baseball, football, hockey and NASCAR. He enjoyed horse racing and the energy of being at the track. His passion for reading and learning made him knowledgeable and just darn right interesting to talk to. His friends and family found themselves sitting around for hours having conversations. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Victoria (Hanson) Sheahan; father, James (Patricia) Sheahan; twin brother, Michael, and brother, Patrick (Diane) Sheahan; father-in-law, Stan Hanson; brother-in-law, Chris (Lilly) Hanson; niece, Sara; nephews, Ryan and Rick Sheahan; uncle, Ron Laski; aunt, Lois Putirskas; cousin, Jason Laski; and his beloved pal, Bogey. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eleanor Sheahan; and mother-in-law, Geraldine Hanson. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated for The Buddy Foundation, 65 W. Seegers Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60006, 847-290-5860, [email protected]. For information, 847-639-3817.

Vicky, I grew up across the street from the Sheahans. I knew them well, and saw them every day. I only saw Chris a couple of times as an adult, but he was just as funny and nice as ever. I'm very sorry for your loss.

Vicky,
We too have never met, but I graduated high school with Chris. My memory of him was that he was always the guy that could make you laugh and smile, no matter what kind of day you were having! May the support and love of your family and friends get you through this difficult time.

Vicky,
I know that we have never met. I grew up in Rolling Meadows with Chris and Mike attending grade school and High School together. We played together as kids. I recently shared a story about the Sheahan twins with my kids - that they would come to school on St. Patricks Day with green hair. I am very sorry for you and your family. I started a 1983 Rolling Meadows Mustangs fb wall about a year ago and just posted this link for others to sign.

Vicky, Mike and family:

Hearing the sad news yesterday got me to thinking about Chris and the good times spent comiserating. Lots of stories, lots of laughs .... there was this one time that I had pulled off a "practical" joke on Chris. He was the recipient of a (bogus) winning lottery ticket for $10,000.00 ... He was convinced this was legit, but it took him less than a minute to come over and give it back to me, telling me he couldn't keep it and offering me his congratulations.

My conolences to all who knew Chris.

Vicky & Mike -

I wish I had magic words to help make this easier for you two. My heart goes out to both of you. All that matters now are the happy memories. When you are sad try to think of those good times to turn your frown in to a smile (even if only a small one). Hang in there.

I knew Chris as my next door neighbor for only a few years.
He would watch over my Dad when no one was around. Chris, one day, helped my Dad out of the car and took him into the house.
I would really like to thank him and his wife, Vicky for watching over my parents.
I am very sorry for your loss and I will always be greatful of Chris for doing such a great thing.
