Clara Giannelli of Inverness The funeral for Clara Giannelli (nee Donatelli), 95, will begin with prayers at 9:45 a.m. Monday, at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Highway, Palatine, then proceed to Holy Family Church, for a Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home. Born Jan. 4, 1911, in Chicago, she died Friday, June 2, 2006. Clara was the beloved wife of the late Frank; loving mother of Ann (Leonard) Thomas and the late Michael (Geraldine) Giannelli; cherished grandmother of Lisa (Bob) Schwer, Gina (Richard) Santilli, Andrew (Lisa) Thomas, Frank (Tara) Giannelli and Christine Giannelli; adoring great-grandmother of Tyler and Cassandra Schwer, Alexander and Gabrielle Thomas, and Janel, Alexandra and Samantha Santilli; dear sister of the late Millie (the late Anthony) Savino, the late Louise (the late Nick) Patano, the late Caroline (the late Frank) DeSimone, the late Anthony (the late Betty) Donatelli, the late Josephine (the late Tony) Kohler and the late Yolanda (George) Schoonover; fond sister-in-law of Rose (the late Ernest) Ferraro; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
