I met Curt 17 years ago at the YMCA where we both went to work out. I thought I was friendly until I met him!!! He knew EVERYBODY at the "Y". Eventually he talked me into going for a cup of coffee with some other members (Paul comes to mind) before I left to go home. That turned into a ritual that continued for years. I was fascinated by his stories about his youth, developed many laugh lines from his endless jokes, and watched him beam with pride as he spoke about his family. He loved to sit in the hall and talk to everyone that passed by. He was always going to lunch with friends or ex-coworkers, or on his way to "the boat" for some poker. He was probably the most well-liked member of the "Y" and he will be truly missed. I have lost a good, good friend whose memory and friendship I will always cherish. Goodbye, Curt.
