just now saw that coach pierre had passed several years ago. while we haven't been in touch in many years he really helped me when my father passed in my sophomore year of high school and was one of the reasons I was able to stay in school. God brought him to me at the right time. While we all will pass at some point just wanted you to know he made a difference for me.

My sympathy to Sandy and the boys. I enjoyed Biology with Mr. Pierre and working for him keeping score at the wrestling meets with Donna Vogel. Wrestling meets introduced me to some of my best friends and I will always have those wonderful memories. Thanks Coach!

Sandy, MIke & Scott,
Some of my best memories are wrestling for your father and the bonding that the sport of wrestling brings. He had a calmness but at the same was an intense competitor and would push us to be our best. Such a nice man and he will always be remembered. Howie - 1979

Jean Rehn expresses her deepest sympathy to Mike and family, Scott and family and to Sandy his wonderful, loyal, and caring wife. What fun memories I have with the Pierres and the Frenchs. They often included Wayne and me in their adventures. May God's hand guide you all through this time of sorrow. Fondly Jean Rehn

Dale was one of my best mentors. He taught me biology and I later was a biology teacher with him at Wheaton North HS. He was my wrestling coach for four years in high school and prepared me for a successful college wrestling career. I was later his assistant wrestling coach for several years. I was so happy to speak with Dale and Sandy at a high school reunion in 2007. He will always be remembered as the father of WNHS Wrestling.

I wrestled for Mr. Pierre at Wheaton North High School and also had him as my Science teacher. I was also blessed with spending some time with his kids (Mike and Scott). I have also attached a link of him being inducted into the wrestling hall of fame. http://nwhof.org/illinois/hof/2007-2/dale_pierre/ Great coach and a great man. I wish his family the best.

Coach Pierre was a legend at Wheaton North High School. His wrestling teams were always winning championships. His sons Scott and Mike (the ones I knew) achieved great success and were highly respected as athletes and people. More than their success in the gym, the Pierres were great people. I am confident Coach Pierre is watching over his family now with love and pride. My very best to the Pierre family.

August 16, 2016

My deepest sympathy to his family. I knew Dale and his wife and his two sons when they were at Wheaton North. Dale befriended a young wrestling official and helped me grow into a State Level official. He will be missed.
