DANIEL GILBERT Obituary

LAKE BLUFF - Daniel Roy Gilbert, 52, died unexpectedly on Sept. 3, 2021. Dan was Supervisor of Maintenance and Facilities for the Libertyville School District 70 for the last 10 years. He was adored by his co-workers and took great pride in his work. He was exceptionally talented at repairing anything be it around the house, his cars, or on the job, he always knew exactly what to do. He had the most positive attitude and had a smile for everyone. He brought so much joy to everyone around him, and he will be dearly missed. Dan is survived by his wife, Alisa of 16 years; his stepchildren, Christine (Alex) Meyer and Eric Anderson; his brother, David (Ronika Jandial-Gilbert) Gilbert; his niece, Neela Gilbert; and his uncle, Robert Charles (Adrienne) Purdy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Barbara Jean Gilbert. A celebration of Dan's life will be held from 4:00-7:00pm on Friday Sept. 10th at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place, Libertyville, with a memorial service at 6:30pm.
