David Ryan Obituary
David H. Ryan, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, at the age of 83. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, to his loving parents, John Vincent Jr. and Bernadette (McDonagh) Ryan. David was proud of his Chicago heritage, which fostered his love of all the city's sport teams.
He was a graduate of Western Illinois University, where he played football, and was a member of their swim team. David earned his Master's Degree at Northern Illinois University. Teaching was his profession, serving the Palatine community for over 30 years. His retirement dream found him in Fort Myers, Florida, where he enjoyed the weather and his dogs for some years.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Helene (Paradise); treasured daughter, Stacey; brother, John Vincent III (Sydna); many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John Vincent Jr. and Bernadette (McDonagh) Ryan; his brother, James (Cindy) Ryan; and his wife, Kathleen Ryan.
Memorial service being planned for Spring 2026. Private interment.
