DAVID SCOTT SAVEGNAGO

WHEATON - David Scott Savegnago, known to family and friends as Dave, passed away peacefully on the morning of May 25, 2023, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Illinois. He was born on September 16, 1958, in Elmhurst, Illinois, to Carol Savegnago (nee Schafer) and the late Albert Savegnago. Dave was a loving son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend to many. Dave was a man of many talents with a keen interest in all things science and an unwavering dedication to his craft. He worked as a graphics designer for Nameplate & Panel Technology for 46 years, honing his skills and making invaluable contributions to the success of the company. His colleagues and coworkers will always remember him as a hardworking and knowledgeable person who was passionate about his work. He was blessed with an intelligent and curious mind. Dave is survived by his mother, Carol; his brother, Kurt; his sister, Lisa; his brother-in-law, Randy Johnson; his nieces, Sarah Savegnago (Phil Shao) and Sophia Savegnago-Johnson; his nephew, Chris Savegnago; and his aunts, Dorrie Savegnago and Peg Byrd. He is also survived by many cousins, wonderful friends, and coworkers. Dave was preceded in death by his father, Albert; and his sister-in-law, Sally Savegnago. Visitation and Memorial Mass will take place on Saturday, June 17, 2023, from 9:00 am until the time of the mass at 10:00 am at St. Michael Catholic Church, 310 S. Wheaton Ave, Wheaton, Illinois, 60187. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Northwestern Medicine Living Well Cancer Resources. Rest in peace, Dave.
