Dominick Giovingo Obituary
Dominick Joseph Giovingo, a longtime resident of Rolling Meadows, IL, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 25, 2025, at the age of 77.
Born in Chicago on March 31, 1947. He attended Lane Tech High School. Dominick served in the U.S. Army 1965 to 1971.
Dominick is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Mary; sister, Rose Meech; and brothers-in-law, Troy Absher and Ernie Meech.
Dominick is survived by his loving wife, Georgia (nee Lannon) Giovingo; his children, Dena Giovingo and Dominic (Angela Murphy) Giovingo; his grandchildren, Emily, Dominic, and Sarah Giovingo, Abigail and Grace Murphy; siblings, Sam (Donna) Giovingo and Carol Absher; as well as in-laws on his wife's side; his former wife, Connie Heisler; and many nieces and nephews.
Dominick spent his career working for IBM until his retirement. After retirement, he worked part time for WW Grainger. One of Dominick's favorite hobbies was running. He ran many races including the Chicago Marathon in 1992. He was extremely proud of his finishing time in just under four hours. He also loved working on cars, cooking and watching all kinds of movies.
Dominick was a family man who enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He was a kind, gentle man who will be missed by many.
Visitation Thursday, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a service at 6:00 pm at the Meadows Funeral Home, 3615 Kirchoff Rd., Rolling Meadows.

I love you Uncle Donny.
Your smile and contagious laughter will be missed and always make me smile when I think of it. Your kind and gentle spirit made anyone that met you love you. You always thought of others before yourself. We are so grateful that God blessed you (and us) with the most wonderful & selfless person to love you always, & care for you when you needed it most.
