Dorothy Keating Obituary

Dorothy Alice Keating of Naperville Funeral services for Dorothy Alice Keating (nee Hutton), 73, will be held at 11 a.m. today, at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 815 S. Washington St., Naperville. The Rev. Thomas Grevlos and the Rev. Jan Jones will officiate. Born June 29, 1930, in Oak Park, she died Monday, Dec. 8, 2003, at her home.Interment will be in Mount Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst. Dorothy had been a resident of Naperville for the past 10 years, moving from Addison. She attended Northwestern University in Evanston and had been employed by the Veterans Administration Hospital in Hines, Ill. While living in Addison, she volunteered doing secretarial work at the Prince of Peace Church. In her retirement, she was a worldwide traveler, making trips to the Middle East, Europe, Hawaiian Islands and South America. She was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Naperville, Chicago Historical Society and the Field Museum. Survivors include her sons, Roger Alan Keating of Naperville and Tomas Scott Keating of Dixon; and many well-loved friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Martha (nee Halvorson) Hutton; and her husband, Roger Warren Keating, who she married in November of 1953. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services today, at the church. Memorials may be made to the church's endowment fund.
