Dorothy L. Smith of Rolling Meadows The funeral service for Dorothy L. Smith (nee Wiedman), 80, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, at Prince of Peace Church, 1190 N. Hicks Road, Palatine, where she will lie in state from 12 noon until the time of services. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the Meadows Funeral Home, 3615 Kirchoff Road, Rolling Meadows. Born Dec. 15, 1927, in Chicago, she died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007, at Manor Care of Rolling Meadows. She had worked at Topps Department Store and was a volunteer at District 15 Sr. Exchange Program at Central School for many years. She was the wife of the late James; mother of Janice (David) Franke and the late Kenneth Smith; grandmother of Andrew and Kristen Franke; and sister of Lorraine (Jack) Jacobs and John Wiedman.
