Emma Hintz

Emma Hintz of Arlington Heights Funeral services for Emma Hintz, 76, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 208 E. Schaumburg Road, Schaumburg, where she will lie in state from 10 a.m. until the time of services. The Rev. David P. Hudak will officiate. Interment will be in St. Peter Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday, at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights. Born Dec. 16, 1928, in Germany, she died Saturday, March 26, 2005, at her home in St. Petersburg, Fla. Emma was employed in food services for 10 years at Northwest Community Healthcare Center, where she was known for her dedicated service and genuine kindness to all. She retried in 1994. She was a member of the German American Club, D.A.N.K., in St. Petersburg. Beloved Emma is survived by her husband, Hugo, whom she married Sept. 3, 1949, in Germany. She was the dearest mother of Erwin (Mary) Hintz, Susan (Mark) Becker and Elli Taylor; loved grandmother of Lisa (Marco) Laredo, Brian and Kurt Hintz, Mark Jr. and Scott Becker and Teresa (Kevin) Gauna; and fond sister of Ida Riecher, Lotte (Sigismund) Langer, Johanna Burns, Gretel Weber, Waldemar (Sabine) Lugwig and Erika Gunther.
