FRED J. BOXLIETNER Jr.

1938 - 2017

CARPENTERSVILLE - Fred J. Boxlietner, Jr., age 79, passed away on Monday, Sept. 4, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. Fred was born in Chicago on August 29, 1938 and was the son of the late Fred and Clara (nee Conlon) Boxlietner. On August 13, 1960 he married Karen (nee McNerney). Fred was a resident of the Carpentersville area for 48 years. He was a United States Navy Veteran and served from 1955-1959. Following his service in the U.S. Navy, Fred worked for most of his professional life as a Truck Driver. During his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and racing. He mostly enjoyed spending time with his family all whom he loved and was very proud of. In addition to his wife of 57 years; Karen, Fred is survived by his children; Fred, III (Vicki) Boxlietner and Diana (Javier) Resendiz; Other survivors include his grandchildren; Jeremiah Zadnichek, Jessilyn Zadnichek, Mike Boxlietner, Nicholas Resendiz, Alexandra Resendiz, and Zoe Boxlietner along with his great-grandchildren; David, Madison, Izayah, Lily and Evelyn. In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his sister; Patricia. Memorial Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 12:00 P.M. NOON at Fox Valley Baptist Church, 16 N 562 Vista Lane in East Dundee. The Miller Funeral Home is assisting the family with all arrangements.
