GEORGE PRIEBE Obituary

LIBERTYVILLE - George C. Priebe, 92, of Lewisville, TX, born in Libertyville, IL. February 22,1921, passed away January 23, 2014. Beloved husband of Marilyn Priebe. He was preceded in death by his parents Otto and Minnie Priebe, brothers Howard, Harold, Robert, Jack and Clementine DeBoo (first wife). He is survived by brother Bruce Priebe, 8 Children; George Priebe Jr. (Judy), Joanne Priebe, Rae Ann Stefanick, Jeanmarie Quiles (JR), Darnell Keesling (Doug), John Priebe (Diane), Christine Byrom (Ivis L.) and Elizabeth Gavitt (Robert). Beloved Papa of 15 Grandchildren and 15 Great-Grandchildren. George was a 1938 Graduate of Libertyville High School, decorated Veteran of WWII with the 10th Mountain Division. Graduate of the Industrial Management Institute, employed by Frank G. Hough Co./International Harvester and retired as PDC Manager Dallas in 1983 after 39 years of service. He has been a member of BPO Elks since 1956, active member of Grapevine Lodge #2483 for the past 30 years, and a charter member of Libertyville VFW Post 8741. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be given to Grapevine Elks, PO Box 1923, Grapevine TX 76099-1923. For information, Flower Mound Family Funeral Home, Lewisville, 972-436-6511.
