GEORGIA R. LAURET

Georgia R. Lauret, 78, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL. She was born December 9, 1943, in Waukegan, and had been a lifelong resident of Waukegan and Beach Park, IL. Georgia completed her training as a Practical Nurse at the Waukegan Township High School Extension Program in 1963 and was a former nurse at Victory Hospital in Waukegan, Weinberg, Goldman & Sharifi pediatric office in Waukegan and Spaulding Elementary School in Gurnee. She was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Waukegan, where she was very involved in her "Bible and Brew" Bible Study Group as well as acted as a volunteer mentor for the church youth group and other various church committees throughout her membership there. Georgia enjoyed reading, crocheting and sewing. She will always be remembered for her quick wit and her love of all individuals - the more unique the better. She loved taking care of her family and adored her grandchildren. Surviving is her son, Kevin (Dawn) Lauret; 2 granddaughters, Shannon (Travis) Lauret and Jessica Lauret; and by her sister, Tammy McPherson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kent Lauret on March 23, 2021; and by her parents, Engwald and Marguerite (William) Anderson. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, March 13, 2022 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 824 N. Lewis Ave. in Waukegan. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
