GERALD E. "JERRY" EITZ

Gerald E. "Jerry" Eitz of Arlington Heights Memorial visitation for Gerald E. Eitz will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 26, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, where a memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Born July 1, 1942, in Chicago, to Frank J. and Lillian (nee Mack) Eitz, he passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family. Jerry was a man of many talents, working for nearly 50 years in the printing industry. He applied all his knowledge and skills to many pursuits, including reading, solving crossword puzzles, making frames, handcrafting blocks for family children, gardening and caring for his family home. We celebrate his gifts of love, loyalty, generosity, creativity, courage and strength. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Patricia A. (nee Duffy); his children, Bryan (Amy) Eitz of Arlington Heights, Meghan (Eric) Olsen of Brookfield, Wis. and Brendan (Tory) Eitz of Arlington Heights; his grandchildren, Andrew, Tommy, Daniel and Makeady Olsen, and Ellie and Nora Eitz; his brother, Charles (Merce) Eitz; his dear cousin, Ruth (John) Baker; and many nieces and nephews.
