Helen Soorus Obituary

Helen M. Soorus of Arlington Heights Services for Helen M. Soorus (nee Gruber), 94, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 111 W. Olive, Arlington Heights, where she will lie in state from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Born Nov. 5, 1908, in Austria, she died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2002, at Northwest Community Healthcare in Arlington Heights. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights. A homemaker, Helen was the beloved wife of the late George Soorus; loving mother of Roland Soorus and Virginia Kelly; and fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights.
