Howard Bychowski Obituary
Howard Bychowski, age 86, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2024.
Born on October 15, 1937, in Chicago, Howard was the youngest of four sons. He overcame childhood polio and went on to serve in the military. For several years, Howard worked as a mechanic, eventually becoming a service manager at Z Frank Chevrolet. He later worked at Ace Hardware before retiring.
A longtime parishioner at St. Raymond's, Howard was married to his wife, Barbara (née Bader), for 58 years. Together they raised four children, Michael, Laura, David, and Karen. Known for his helpful nature, Howard was a beloved neighbor who often lent a hand to others. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; their children; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 15, 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Raymond de Peñafort Catholic Church, Elmhurst Rd. (Rt. 83) and Lincoln Street, Mount Prospect, IL 60056. Interment will be at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Cemetery in Palatine.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.

I was very saddened to hear of Howard´s passing. I worked with Howard at Z Frank Chevrolet from 1976 to 1981. He was a whiz at transmission repair and was always helpful and kind to me. I hadn´t seen him in probably 40 years until I ran into him by chance while getting a haircut in Mount Prospect. We had a nice chat and I gave him a ride home. My condolences to his family.
