So sorry to hear about Jim's passing. I had been looking for him for some years, and am sad I didn't get to talk with him.
When we were in the 5th (or 6th) grade, Jim and I did puppet shows for the second graders.
I remember playing a round of golf with him at the country club - we were in high school and caddies - and he said he used his 5 iron all the time, could hit a ball as far with it as with a club. I've thought of that from time to time as a wise path - focusing on one thing and getting really good at it.

What a wonderful person and friend. Jim was always happy and joking. He was always there to help me with fire alarms or other fire issues at the Barrington properties that I managed. You will be missed. My sincere condolences to the family and friends.

Jim was a good friend back in our years with the Illinois Fire Inspectors Assoc., early 90's. We shared many good times back then. So sad to see you go.
