JAMES H. STEELE

1924 - 2014

James H. Steele, 90, passed away February 17, 2014 in Venice, FL. He was born March 6, 1924 in Kewanee, IL to the late Evelyn and Francis Steele. He was a banker for many years in Libertyville at the First Lake County National bank and eventually became Senior Vice President when it became American National Bank. He was a member of the Northbrook Gun Club and the First Presbyterian Church in Libertyville. He is survived by his two sons, Jeffrey R. Steele of Libertyville, John J. Steele of Brokaw, WI; and by his granddaughter, Kaylee Marie Steele. He was preceded in death by his wife Jeanne, his daughter Jane Steele, and by his brother Robert Steele. A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 25, 2014 at Lakeside Cemetery in Libertyville. Memorial contributions can be made to First Presbyterian Church, 219 W.
