Jane Pluta Obituary
Jane Annette (nee Schulze) Pluta, age 97, passed away on July 22, 2024, in Palatine, IL. She was born to Adolph and Esther Schulze in Chicago on July 17, 1927. She graduated from Chicago Teachers' College and taught physical education for many years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening, baking, and crafts.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Janet Dark, James Pluta, John Pluta, and Judith Alfonso; her grandchildren, Marie Barth and Michael Barth.
Jane was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Edward R. Pluta, who passed in 2020.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., August 22, at Memory Gardens in Arlington Heights.

Dear Judy and siblings, I am so sorry to hear your Mom has gone after losing your father a while ago. And I pray you will find peace on this journey. In the wake of losing loved ones, everything in a life becomes a potential surprise memorial. Out of nowhere you are broadsided by days of the week or times of day or numbers on the calendar, or songs that were playing or cologne you were wearing or the feel of the grass beneath your knees as you fell at the news. These seemingly incessant reminders force you once again to observe the loss anew.
And since these days and times and triggers aren´t obvious to most people in our lives (and since we don´t have the time or the words to describe them all), they are usually unaware of just how much and just how often we mourn. Grief can feel like a very lonely journey, which in many ways it is because it is specific to each of you and for the one lost. It is a customized but hidden wound.
May you find Peace.
