JANICE BAUM Obituary

Janice R. Baum of Winfield Janice R. Baum, 58, died Sept. 16, 2011, at home. She was born July 15, 1953, in Paris, Ill. Janice graduated from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Ill. She worked at Chicago Title for 28 years, and she was active with the Wheaton Chamber of Commerce. She is survived by her husband, Edward Baum of Winfield, her mother, Kathleen Parrish of Paris, Ill.; her brother, James (Ann) Parrish of Paris, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph E. Parrish. A visitation will be held Wednesday, Sept. 21, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton. Interment will be private. Memorial gifts may be directed to Therapy Dogs International, 88 Bartley Road, Flanders, NJ 07836; or The Anti-Cruelty Society, 157 W. Grand Ave., Chicago, IL 60654. I knew Jan from going to the Wheaton Chicago Title office for whatever reason. She was always fun to be around with and the nicest person you would ever meet. Jan is not hurting anymore and is at peace at last. My thoughts and prayers are with Ed and family at this most diffcult of times.

I always enjoyed working with Jan when she was at Odyssey Title. I was introduced to her by a close friend and started a great relationship with her. Heaven has gained an angel, but the world has lost a wonderful person.

I worked on fundraisers for the Wheaton Chamber of Commerce with Jan. She always went above and beyond with her volunteering. She was a hoot to work with and beloved by the staff and membership. She will be missed.

I worked with Jan at CT in Wheaton for several years....she was a wonderul co-worker and friend. My kids used to love visiting where I worked because Aunt Jan would share her drawer full of candy with them. She loved kids and life, she will be truly missed.
