Janice Elaine Wilkinson

Janice Elaine Wilkinson formerly of Wheaton Memorial services for Janice Elaine Wilkinson (nee Flora), 55, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, 2003, at First Presbyterian Church, 715 Carleton Ave., Wheaton. Born April 20, 1948, in Champaign, Ill., the daughter of Mary K. Farber Evans and Ralph Flora, she died Thursday, August 28, 2003, at Evergreen Hospice Center in Bellevue, Wash. Interment will be private in Wheaton Cemetery. Jan graduated from the University of Illinois in 1972, where she majored in economics. She was a devoted wife, mother and friend. Her community activities included Wheaton Youth Outreach, Habitat for Humanity, and P.E.O. She was also a member of First Presbyterian Church in Wheaton. Jan enjoyed working in her garden, and was active in a local investment club. She is survived by Thomas W., whom she married July 18, 1972, of Bellevue, Wash.; her sons Brian (Amanda) Wilkinson of Aurora and David Wilkinson of Wheaton; granddaughter Emma Wilkinson; her mother, Mary K. Farber Evans and stepfather, Rupert N. Evans of Urbana, Ill.; her brother, Mark (Elizabeth) Flora of Pine Springs, Minn.; her stepbrother, Herbert Glenn (Linda) Farber of Bellevue; and her stepsisters, Jane Farber of Chesapeake Beach, Md., Ellen (Roger) Collins of Hagerstown, Md., Catherine (Ronald) Westman of Bellevue, Neb. and Nancy (Paul) McNabb of Champaign, Ill. Jan was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Flora. Arrangements were made by Bleitz Funeral Home in Seattle, Wash. Since she, her husband, both sons and her daughter-in-law were graduates of the University of Illinois, memorials may be made to the Janice Flora Wilkinson Memorial Fund at the University of Illinois Foundation, 1305 West Green St., Urbana, IL 61801.
