My dear Janine, Well who can believe it has been two years today. I must begin with telling you about some of your friends who called today. Rachel, who calls you her " best friend" and who has no other friend like you. Today she wished you were here so she could tell you she is having her second baby. Your friend Franca called and wanted to go to mass with us today but I had to disappoint her and tell her we went on Tuesday. She also said she is getting married on New Years Eve and wished you would be here to share the day with her. Marissa called today to tell us she is still in "cop camp" and you helped her score high so she could quality for the shotting score. She said "Janine pull the trigger for me" and you did. Jill called to say the girls will be here on Saturday and we will all go to see you. Today at the cemetary Julie, Anna, Ella, Ava, Aunt Barbara, Aunt Christine and your favorite Auntie Dee Dee and Dad & Mom celebrated 2 years in heaven, Dee made cupcakes, we had candy and released balloons with all our names to go heaven to say "Hi" to you and Kurt and Aunt Arlene. Aunt Peg called today to remind me of how you potty trained Mary Beth. My good friend Barb Kellogg called to let me know she was thinking of us today. Uncle Jerry and Aunt Mary Ann called too. Everyone has been so good but it will not fill the hole in my heart. I miss you so much. Do you hear me when I talk to you and cry? Guess what Ken Joseph wore the shirt that Franca bought him for your final day with us, not by accident he wore it on purpose, his way of showing he misses you toooooo. Janine we love and miss you. Dad can not make soup without talking how you and him made soup together. Enough blabbering
I LOVE AND MISS YOU, LOVE MOM

Janine Missing you very much. I pray that you Kurt and Nicole are together because you all loved life so much, enjoyed laughing, and so many other things that I can't mention them all. Kurt I am sure he is being the good father that he was when he was here, to karen too. The only things he is doing is enjoy holding, playing, huging and kissing her. He was always good at that with his kids. Janine I am sure that you are with him. Please make sure you tell him how much we miss him just in case he is busy with Karen when we talk to him. Oh by the way Aunt Arlene I am sure is very happy that she is joining all of you. ALL MY LOVE AUNT CAROL

January 10, 2011

Janine and Karen both, it's me again I miss both of you. It was a bad Christmas. (2010) Sometimes I feel I can't keep up the happy face and tell stories that make everyone laugh. Why did God do this? Janine your good friends, Marissa, Jill, Carla, Loren, still call. Please give me strength to keep going. The nieces are good, Anna picked out a birthday outfit and she called herself "little Janine". Ella is the silent fun and loving girl. Ave continues to talk ALL the time even if no one is listening.
Love Always to you both, Mom

Janice and family,
We remember Janine as a little girl with blond pigtails, oh so cute and such a personality. Thank you for letting me be a part of Janine's first birthday in heaven. What a lovely tribute to a beautiful girl. You have so many wonderful memories to hold in your heart. Love, your BFF Barb (and Joe).

Janice, Ken, Julie & Ken,

I remember a little girl who when I turned 50 helped me open birthday cards and helped with the party stuff.

Janine and I had a very good aunt/niece relationship. She used to phone me for help and just to tell me she loved me. I tried to be a good sounding board for her when she needed it.

I miss her very very much and remember many of the good times, including when she told me to get-with-in and dye my hair dark, so I would look younger and aok! She was ONE-OF-A-KIND for sure and I will never forget her.

Love,
Barbara

Ken, Janice, Julie, and Ken Jr,

My fondest memories of Janine go back to our earliest days at Villagebrook. Fighting over icy-cups at your apartment as children is one that makes me smile most. We have such fantastic memories as friends and family together. I miss Janine dearly and I hang on to those cherished moments dearly. My love for all of you goes beyond words.

To Everyone,

We all remember Janine in so many different ways and for many different things. What I remember most about her is that she always made me laugh; she loved her family so much and ALWAYS came to family gatherings.

Jan,

In one of your entries you said that you still didn't understand God's decision. I don't think you will ever understand, but I pray all the time that you get acceptance. Now that I have children, I can't imagine losing them. I think about all the times Janine made you all laugh (which was pretty often) and keep that feeling with me always. She touched so many people.

Mary Beth

April 3, 2010

Janine, I still read your last email you sent to me. You were definitely back on the right track! Not a day goes by that you are not a thought. All the family parties are just a tad bit quieter without you... You really knew how to make eveyone laugh and smile... Oh, how witty you were. Keep watching over everyone.

Janine, an update on what is going on.
Your oldest niece Anna will be making her First Communion on May 16, of this year, 2010. Ella lost her first tooth today, sister Ava tried to help her and got her nail stuck in between, so when she pulled it out the tooth came with it. I guess this means
Ava will be a dentist. Anna had the priveledge of being "Principal for the day" this month. She read the announcements for the day, handed out awards and had to shake the hand of those who received awards. April, 2010

April 2, 2010

To the Koester family,
God had special plans for Janine and that is why he brought her to heaven. Janines zest for life and living to the fullest will be her mission in heaven to bring the angels to the 21st century. She will be so busy sharing her greatest gift of love. I will always keep you in my prayers so
God will wrap his arms around you to help you through this difficult time.
Love to all.

Jan & Ken,
I can't believe it's been a year already since you lost your beloved Janine. The Tripoli game seems to be gathering a bigger crowd these days. I'm sure Grandma Gert is teaching both Janine and Karen how to keep a straight face, and some of her other stategies. Only wish your kids and grandbabies would've had the memories we have of those times. I truely look forward to joining in the game someday with all the Family and Neighbors. Love Always, Debbie

Jan & Ken You know that there is nothing in the world worse than this. I do not know how or what to say. I do have many great memories of Birthdays gone by and other parties we had and visions of her leaving our place at the lake. It is still hard for me to accept that this happend. I still see her smiling face and her saying Hi Uncle Sonny and Hi Aunt Carol. I did get an email just before that day and how she missed being at the party and how she liked our costume and was looking forward to seeing us soon. She is forever in our heart along with the wonderful memories. May all your family find some kind of peace and understanding that is so hard to find. All our Love Carol and Sonny
