JERRY TREPPA Obituary

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS - Jerry Anthony Treppa, a long-time resident of Arlington Heights, died Monday the 18th of April. Born in 1940, in Detroit, Michigan, Jerry received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan in 1963. He subsequently achieved a master's and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Michigan State University. Jerry was a psychotherapist and professor of psychology at Washington State University before moving to Illinois. He then was a psychotherapist at the University of Illinois, Chicago, Clinical Center for more than twenty years, eventually becoming the Director of the center. Deeply interested in politics and history, Jerry traveled throughout the United States and Canada, as well as many other countries such as England, Ireland, Scotland, France, and Switzerland. Jerry also was very fond of theater, of the wilderness, and of downhill skiing. He is survived by his son Jeff, his daughter-in-law Jane, and his three grandchildren: Morgan, John, and Madison.
