Joel Soderberg Obituary
Joel E. Soderberg, 70, of Rolling Meadows passed away June 2, 2025. He was born November 12, 1954, to the late Donald and Christine (née Weirauch) Soderberg. Joel was the beloved husband of Jeannie (née Lighthall) Soderberg; loving father of Amy (Craig) Neville and Aaron Soderberg; dearest brother to Lisa (née Soderberg) O’Shea; uncle to nine nieces and nephews and their children; and grandfather to his grand puppies Maki and Skittles.
Joel graduated from Forest View High School in 1972, attended Harper College, then Elmhurst College where he was a proud member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity, Nu Zeta chapter. Joel was a firefighter and logger in the Umpqua National Forest in Oregon. He then worked at Pittco Architectural Metals for 42 years before “retiring†and becoming a proud co-owner of My Sister & Me in Lake Geneva, WI.
A celebration of life will be on June 11, 2025 from 5:00-8:00pm at Meadows Funeral Home, 3615 Kirchoff Rd., Rolling Meadows. Burial is private.

So very sorry for the loss of Joel, husband, father, brother in law, Uncle and friend.
One of the nicest of my friend´s husbands.
Many happy memories of us getting together after Jean & Joel married.
Mike & I were newly engaged and or married.
Grew up with Jean & Jane Lighthall.
So many years have passed, but, will never forget what a nice guy Joel was, and how happy he made my friend.
My prayers to you all.
