HI, I was John's college roomate for 2 years at Lake Forest. I was thinking of him recently and just looked him up on Facebook. I was so sad to hear of his passing. He was my best friend for a time, and I remember fondly times spent with him playing tennis, driving in his car, visiting his family in Elgin and in Florida. HE had a big heart, and big smile and I miss him. I am curious what his years were like post Lake Forest, as I sadly lost touch with him. Looks like he made a very nice life for himself, surrounded with many very loving people. That makes me happy!!

Debbie,
I am so sorry to hear of John's passing. We were good friends in our early years at Lake Forest College. I learn about it in the current issue of the Spectrum. Please know that although there has been great time and distance between us, I hold a soft spot in my heart for John. I too lost my husband Jon last year. Sending you love and light. Dear Debbie, Forgive the lateness of this message. I live on the West Coast now and I only heard of John's passing through the latest issue of Spectrum, the Alumni magazine for Lake Forest College. That's where I met John: Lake Forest. He was full of fun, lively, outgoing, and open. Despite our different backgrounds, we became good friends during those days, and I admired his zest for new experiences. I am so sorry for the loss your family has suffered. You may not remember me, but I was present on the day you married as well. I know how much he loved you, and I send this lighted candle so that you and your boys (of whom he was so very proud)remember love never dies. Wishing you peace in your happy memories. I am so sorry for your loss. We were John's neighbors in Batavia. I can still see him bringing the keys to his Porsche over to my sons. He would let them borrow his beautiful car so that their date nights could be special! John was a wonderful friend and neighbor.....so giving and generous. You are all in my prayers.
