John Cushing Obituary

John F. "Jack" Cushing Jr. of Glen Ellyn Funeral services for John F. "Jack" Cushing Jr., 47, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at the Glen Ellyn Bible Church, 501 Hillside Ave., Glen Ellyn. Born June 15, 1956, in Chicago, he died Thursday, April 29, 2004, at his home in Glen Ellyn. Interment will be private. Mr. Cushing was employed for 30 years at Magnetrol International in Downers Grove. Most recently, he was a supervisor there. He attended Glen Ellyn Bible Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed flying, skydiving, scuba diving and boating. He is survived by his wife, Kimberly (nee Daniels) of Glen Ellyn; his children, William F. and Kelly Cushing, both of Glen Ellyn; his step-son, Jon Probst of Channahon; his father, John F. (Shirley) Cushing Sr. of Las Vegas; his siblings, Nancy (Joe) Farkes of Las Vegas, Jim (Tracey) Cushing of Naperville, Dan (Laura) Cushing of Naperville, Michael (Heather) Cushing of Glen Ellyn, Carol (James) Koski of Yorkville, Bill (Debra) Cushing of Naperville, Rich (Debbie) Cushing of Naperville and Raphael Garcia of Naperville; his parents-in-law, William (Kathy) Daniels of Downers Grove and Robert (Diane) Leonard of Lake Villa; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Tim (Patty) Daniels of Bolinbrook, Mary (Dan) Guido of Aurora and Steve Leonard of Waukegan; his nieces and nephews, Brian, Andrew, Sara, Jennifer, Matthew, Thomas, Jacob, Samantha, Daniel, Michael, Chloe, Becca, Hank, Amanda, Kim, Lissa, Timmy, Katy, Daniel; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. He also leaves behind his pet, "Boomer". He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret; his brother, Stephen; his niece, Alyssa Koski; and his mother-in-law, Kathleen Leonard. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 8:30 p.m. at the Biedelman-Knusch Funeral Home, 24021 W. Royal Worlington Drive (Route 59), Naperville, and from from 10 a.m. until the time of service Monday, at the church. Memorials in John's name may be made to an educational fund for his children, in care of the funeral home. Friends may visit www.dailyherald.com/obits to express condolences and sign the guest book.
