John Stoessel, Army Veteran, age 78, of Arlington Heights. Cherished husband for 53 years of Judy Stoessel, nee Arndt; loving father of John "Sarah" Stoessel; devoted brother of Karen Stoessel; dear nephew of Pat (the late John) Wagner; beloved cousin of Chris (Al) Kiefer, Jack (Mary) Wagner, Jim (Carol) Wagner, Max Kiefer, Ali Kiefer, Johnny Wagner, Michelle Santana and Marie Santana; fond brother-in-law of Barb (the late Doug) Marshall, Ray (Candee) Arndt, Marilyn (Jeff) Skinner; and also survived by many nieces and nephews; fondest godfather of Kim Marshall and Jason Justus.
Before John was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease, John and Judy enjoyed traveling and spending time with their family and special friends. John was a diehard Cubs fan, a Blackhawks fan and a Bears fan, he was also an avid bowler.
Visitation Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 9:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 noon. at the Skaja Terrace Funeral Home, 7812 N. Milwaukee Ave., Niles, Ill. Interment Maryhill Cemetery.

John was one of my buds when I started working at IH back in 1976. He was a pleasure to work with and also was someone I considered my friend. John, I and others used to meet early on Monday mornings before work to talk about the previous night's Monty Python TV show. He had a great sense of humor and we had a great group of people working down at the Equitable Building in Chicago. Wishing Judy and family our heartfelt condolences.
