I was a hospice volunteer for three months and visited with John in Lincolnshire on several occasions. He especially liked that I usually brought a McDonald's chocolate milkshake for him at lunch time. I enjoyed his thumbs up and big smile when I arrived, milkshake in hand. We wasn't very talkative when I would visit when he was eating his lunch. But on other occasions I learned many facts about his life, especially in New York City. I will miss our visits.

John was my favorite boss of all time. He hired me at TLK and I followed him up the ladder following his retirement. Under is tutorage I note only learn the importance of the position, but also the skill of paying it forward.
To say he was an original "Made Men" is most accurate. I remember our 3 martini lunches fondly. I´m smiling right now just thinking about him and his passion for life.
