John Wutz Obituary

John J. Wutz of Des Plaines for 28 years Funeral services for John J. Wutz, 65, of Des Plaines, formerly of Chicago, will begin with prayers at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, at the G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Ave., Des Plaines, and proceed to St. Zachary Church, where Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Born Oct. 21, 1937, in Chicago, he died Saturday, March 8, 2003, at home. Entombment will be in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines. Mr. Wutz was the owner of the Reliable Equipment Company. He was a member of the Norwood Drum and Bugle Corps and the Skokie Senior Drum and Bugle Corps. John was the beloved husband for 39 years of Jane (nee Witczak), whom he married Sept. 21, 1963; loving father of Paul and Michael (Becky) Wutz and Cathy (Brian) Savage; proud grandfather of Anthony and Samantha; and dear brother of the late Barbara (George) Tuchel. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Rainbow Hospice. Friends may visit www.dailyherald.com/obits to express condolences and sign the guest book.
