It is always difficult to lose a mother, but especially at such a young age. It just seems like they should always be there - and she will be, in spirit, in your heart. Just wanted you to know my thoughts are with you.

Judy was my best friend from the time we first met at St. Mary's Elementary School in fourth grade all the way through high school graduation. My sister, Jackie, and I spent many, many hours together - playing with our dolls, playing school, tetherball, roller skating. We doubledated to the senior prom. She was a very special person. I think the last time I saw her was when I got married in 1972. She and her husband came to our wedding. I don't know what happened but over the years we just completely lost touch. I had recently learned from my mother, who had talked to her mother, that Judy had cancer. It sounded like she was still working so I didn't realize how serious it was. I had intended to call her and see if she, my sister and I could get together. Time just got away from me and I deeply regret not giving her a call. She was a very important part of my childhood. My sympathies to her family (especially her Mom) for their loss.
