Judith Schillace Obituary
Judith A. Schillace (Sherwood), of Schaumburg, Illinois, was called to our Lord on Friday, December 13, 2024, Born in Cleveland, Ohio, daughter of Anne D. Germ and William M Sherwood, wife of 54 years and preceded in death by Frank J. Schillace, mother of John J (Michelle Garcia) and Frank J (Kim Kleinsorge), grandmother of Katelyn M (Kevin Molter), Lydia and Elio. Beloved sister of Annmarie Stansfield (Joseph), aunt to Alison Stansfield and Amy Curtis (Kiel), great aunt to Joseph Alec Curtis and beloved sister-in-law to Anthony Schillace.
Judy graduated from Euclid High School in 1966, then graduated from Lutheran School of Nursing in 1969. Judy loved being a registered nurse and it was the perfect job for her as she loved caring for others. Even after retirement she was the chairwoman for the Schaumburg Committee on Aging. Judy was always there to support her sons in their activities as they grew up. The annual family vacation at the Trees Resort on Cass Lake in Minnesota every summer was the time of year she looked forward to. In later years, Judy and Frank vacationed in Fort Meyers Beach, Florida annually, for the month of February.
Visitation for Judy will be Friday, December 20, 2024, from 3:00pm-9:00pm at Ahlgrim and Son’s Funeral and Cremation Services, 330 W Golf Rd, Schaumburg, IL 60195. Prayers will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 9:15am followed by Mass at 10:00am at Holy Archangels Parish at St. Hubert Catholic Church, 729 Grand Canyon Street, Hoffman Estates, IL.
