KEVIN LENO Obituary

Our loving brother and caring friend, Kevin Theodore Leno, passed away unexpectedly on December 12, 2017 in Miami, Florida at the age of 49. Kevin is survived by his parents, Theodore and Yolanne (Albrecht) Leno of Arcadia, MI (formerly Arlington Heights); siblings, Carl Leno and his children; Morgan, Machaela, Andrew, Molly and Mallory of Arlington Heights and Jeff and Kourtney (Stout) Leno and children; Leah and Theo of Pickerington, Ohio. He is also survived by his uncle John Albrecht and wife Alicia, Uncle Wayne Gatz, many cousins, and loving friends. His nieces and nephews remember him as an outgoing, fun-loving uncle who encouraged them to pursue their goals and dreams. He is preceded in death by his Grandparents, Carl & Sylvia Leno and Victor & Bertha Albrecht; and his Aunt Carleen (Leno) Gatz. Kevin was born on August 24, 1968 in Chicago IL. He graduated from St. Peter Grade School, Rolling Meadows High School class of 1986, and from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He began his professional carrier at Motorola in Schaumburg and then took a transfer to Miami. Later, he worked as a Project Manager for Foxconn, Royal Caribbean International, and most recently 360fly. In his early years Kevin was involved with swimming, theater, and singing. He continued his love for music and was introduced to traveling the world. Most recently, Kevin was Captain of his swim team the Nadadores in Miami where he won multiple medals and even took up water polo. Kevin was a generous soul who loved solving problems. He was passionate about causes he supported such as animal cruelty, social and civils rights, and volunteered where he could to these efforts. His laugh was contagious and brought great happiness to others. A memorial service is scheduled for 10:00am, January 3, 2018 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 111 West Olive St. Arlington Heights IL. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Kevin's life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Peter Lutheran School in Arlington Heights, IL and/or his swim team the Nadadores of South Florida.
