LORRAINE DIANE EYER "LORRIE" BERNARD

1955 - 2022

WINFIELD - Lorraine Diane "Lorrie" Eyer Bernard, 66, passed away peacefully on January 28th from her fourth and final battle with cancer. She is survived by Gary Bernard, her husband of 41 years; loving children, Nick [Lucas Goldbach] Bernard, Andria [Justin] Sadowski, and Evan Bernard; grandson, Jude Sadowski. Lorrie was born April, 2, 1955, in Scranton, PA, before moving to Wheaton, IL, where she graduated from Wheaton Central High School in 1974. Lorrie moved (with husband and children to Winfield) in 1987 where, she enjoyed her happiest years as a mother and creative dynamo in her Fredricksburg Farm neighborhood. She loved creating unique Halloween costumes and decorating school classrooms for every holiday season. Once the children were grown, Lorrie continued to bring happiness to others by working as a home caregiver and taught after school art class. She will be remembered for her courage and as a kind, goofy, fun-loving soul who brought people together.
