Tho Lou has been gone several years, I think of him often remembering his smile and partnership with both the Ag School where we worked together and also the Center for Healthy Minds. Lou "got it" long before others were figuring out the tremendous power of our mindsets and beliefs on our success. He was just a wonderful, wonderful man and I miss him

As I still today speak to groups about the power and joy of generosity - I include Lou in my stories. His support and dedication to the College of Ag and Life Sciences - where he got his degree - and in other areas of the University was always thoughtful and meaningful. His performance on our campaign film was a special time (I have this great shot of him getting make-up) Anyway...I sincerely cared for Lou and I miss him, his warmth and the passion we shared for lifting others up.

Lou was a great gentleman and stock broker. He was very well liked by all while working as a team member with Ernie Janus and Al Rappaport. He never said a bad word about anyone. He was always a pleasure to deal with and will be missed by all who knew him.

Lou was a great friend, contributor and mentor to me as we worked together with his many roles at UW Madison. His continued dedication to the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences and his agricultural roots was inspirational. We also enjoyed many, many good times in Chicago and planning how his leadership and philanthropy would have the greatest impact. Although he knew and worked with so many folks, it really felt like we had a special friendship around our UW and ag values. I will miss him. My sincere condolences to his family. On Wisconsin!

I graduated with Louie in 1960 from Union Grove High. He was a dear friend to me. Was loved by all. I stood up with him on the Homecoming court one year. He was a sweet fun guy. Am praying for his family. I know it's been hard to see him, so different than earlier life.

I was personally introduced to Mr. Holland by Bob Fitzgerald at the start of my career in Finance & Investment. He became a mentor, frequently taking time out of his schedule to meet and discuss matters of mutual interest over lunch.

Once I introduced him to my mother, that was at a Chuck Percy gala. I think Mom went into a swoon.

He will be fondly remembered, like the souls one encounters in life that were of significant influence. I am my own person today, and Lou played a role in that attainment.

My heartfelt prayers to the family.

Though physically small by today's standards, Louis Holland became a student-athlete of gigantic proportions who, as an adult, achieved the heights of his chosen profession in finance. Soft spoken, generous, and of impeccable character, his life remains an exemplar of human possibility. Those of us who graduated little Union Grove High School during his era (I was a teammate of his older brother Bob) have lost a source of enduring pride. All my sympathy to his family and friends, Dave Rozelle

Sorry to hear that Louis has passed. I played all sports with Louis at Union Grove HS in 1959. He was a special team mate and we had a very successful year. We will all miss him as he was also a good person in what ever he did.
