MOUNT PROSPECT - M. Darlene Stewart, age 89, passed away peacefully Wednesday August 1, 2018. Beloved wife of 66 years of the late Duane D. Stewart; loving mother of Sheri (the late Edward) Sands, Connie (Stephen) Hallberg and Kathy (Michael) Gillig; cherished grandmother of Jason (Lauren) Stewart, Nicole Gillig, Heather and Shannon Hallberg, step-grandmother of Michael (Laura) Sands, Dawn (Jack) Zacharuk; great grandmother of 4; fond aunt of many; dear sister of Berniece Mansager. She was preceded in death by her parents Leland and Josephine Boblit nee Coakley; brother Gene Boblit, sisters Marjorie Nitchals and Beverly Satern. Darlene was born October 17, 1928 in Emmetsburg, IA. Worked at Mt. Prospect State Bank and Head Cook at Prospect High School for 20 years. Long time parishioner at St. Raymond de Penafort Church, involved in Funeral Luncheon Ministry, Eucharistic Minister, CHRP Ministry, Womens Club and Senior Club. Visitation Thursday August 9, 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Rd. (at Northwest Highway) Mount Prospect, IL 60056. Visitation Friday August 10, 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m. at St. Raymond de Penafort Church, Elmhurst Rd. (Rt. 83) at Lincoln St. Mt. Prospect, IL 60056.
